Carrying Love Forward
A Four-Week Healing Circle
For Parents & Grandparents Grieving Child Loss
A compassionate and supportive space to honour your loss, share your experience, and take gentle steps forward alongside others who understand.
About Carrying Love Forward
Grief after the loss of a child or grandchild changes everything.
It’s a pain that reshapes your world and one that others often struggle to understand.
Carrying Love Forward is a four-week healing circle created exclusively for parents and grandparents navigating this unimaginable loss.
Together, we’ll gently move through the H.E.A.L. Method — Honour, Embrace, Awaken and Live — offering compassionate guidance, practical tools, and a safe space to connect with others who truly understand.
The H.E.A.L. Method
Our Journey Together
Week 1
Honour
Making space for the full weight of this loss, without rushing past it.
Week 2
Embrace
Sitting with grief as it actually shows up — the waves, the numbness, the anger, all of it.
Week 3
Awaken
Beginning to notice who you are now, alongside who you were before.
Week 4
Live
Carrying your love forward into a life that still has meaning.
What Makes This Healing Circle Different?
It’s specific, not generic.
Created exclusively for parents and grandparents grieving the loss of a child or grandchild.
It’s built on the H.E.A.L. Method.
This isn’t just a “let’s talk” group. Participants know what each week is for, which helps lower some of the anxiety around the unknown.
It comes from lived experience and focused education.
Facilitated by someone who has lived this on both sides and has specialized education in grief, with an emphasis on child loss.
It’s trauma-informed by design, not just well meaning.
There is consistent structure, choice at every turn, and grounding tools built into the experience.
It does not promise “moving on.”
The whole premise is Carrying Love Forward, not leaving it behind.
This is a different approach from groups oriented around “stages” or “closure.”

What topics or themes will you cover?
Each week we'll move through one pillar of the heal method, taylored specifically for parents / grandparents grieving child loss.
- Week 1 - Honour : making space for the full weight of this loss, without rushing past.
- Week 2 - Embrace : Sitting with grief as it actually shows up - the waves, the numbness, the anger, all of it.
- Week 3 - Awaken : Beginning to notice who you are now, alongside who you were before.
- Week 4 - Live : Carrying your love forward into a life that still has meaning.
What can participants expect each week?
- A guided theme to anchor the session
- Time to share - Always optional, never forced
- Gentle facilitation, never a lecture
- A small consistent group so that it starts to feel familiar and safe.
Are there exercises, reflections, or discussions?
Yes, to all 3. Each week includes a short reflection prompt to use between sessions, some grounding and/or nervous system tools, and time for open discussion. Nothing is HOMEWORK in the school sense, its there if it helps, skip if it doesn't.
Do I have to share my story?
Not at all. Everyone experiences grief differently, and there is no right or wrong way to participate. Some people feel ready to share right away, while others prefer to simply listen. You are welcome exactly as you are.
How will we meet?
The group meets virtually through Google Meet, allowing you to join from the comfort and privacy of your own home. You'll receive the meeting link and all the details once your registration and payment have been confirmed.
What if I've never participated in a support group before?
That's completely okay.
Many people joining the group will be attending their first support group as well. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable, respected, and supported.
What if I become emotional during a session?
Grief brings many emotions, and all of them are welcome here.
This is a space where tears, silence, laughter, memories, and hope all have a place. You never need to apologize for how your grief shows up.
